Health Benefits of Ice Cream

I believe majority of those consuming ice cream are not aware of its amazing health benefits. Maybe they just love the sweetness or maybe they love cold foods. Ice cream, whether chocolate, vanilla strawberry, Cooke mint or chocolate chip flavor, are not just sweet but also beneficial to the body.

Apart from containing sugar, ice cream also contains Vitamin A, D, protein, calcium, potassium, iodine, phosphorus and zinc. It also contains high amount of calories, which varies according to flavors, but due to the coldness of ice cream, it contribute to weight loss instead of weight gain due to much calories (of course, cold things cause weight loss).

  1. A lot of people consider ice cream and pizza to be junk food.

    I disagree. It is all in all they are prepared. They both have health benefits if the right ingredients are chosen with the preparation.

    I use to love ice cream before I became vegan over thirty-five years ago.

    Now I eat non dairy ice cream and I watch the ingredients.

    There is also a dairy free vegan pizza I eat once in a while.

  3. No argument here, just my opinion. While junk food is food it’s far from healthy. Now I know you said within moderation. But a lot of it seems don’t have the willpower to eat garbage food in moderation. Myself included.
